Auslands-BAföG fürs Masterstudium

NEU: Auslands-BAföG fürs Masterstudium

    Das Auslands-BAföG ist seit vielen Jahren die beliebteste Finanzierungsmöglichkeit für ein Auslandssemester. Seit der BAföG-Reform im August 2022 kann Auslands-BAföG auch für komplette Studienprogramme im Ausland genutzt werden, solange diese eine Gesamtstudiendauer von 12 Monaten nicht überschreiten. Somit können einjährige Masterprogramme an unseren Partnerhochschulen in Australien, Neuseeland oder Südostasien jetzt auch über BAföG, zumindest teilweise, finanziert werden.

    Folgende Zuschüssen kannst du über das Ausland-BAföG bekommen:

    • Studiengebührenzuschuss bis zu 5.600 Euro pro Jahr (rückzahlungsfrei)
    • 1.000 Euro Zuschuss zu Reisekosten 
    • Monatliche Förderung (Höhe des Inlands-BAföGs plus Auslandszuschlag)
    • Zuschuss zur Krankenversicherung im Ausland

    Voraussetzung für die Förderung des kompletten Studiums durch Auslands-BAföG ist vor allem die Dauer von maximal 12 Monaten. Programme mit einer längeren Dauer, z.B. Bachelorprogramme, können nach wie vor nicht über Auslands-BAföG gefördert werden. Das Studium muss zudem in sich abgeschlossen sein. Nur das erste Jahr eines zweijährigen Masters durch Auslands-BAföG zu fördern, ist also nicht möglich.

    With the Master of Sport, Exercise and Health you can advance your knowledge of the sport industry, and be involved in world-leading research in sport, exercise and health.
    You can specialise in coach and athlete development, outdoor learning, physical activity and nutrition, sport leadership and management, or strength and conditioning. You can also complete this master’s degree through a flexi pathway by choosing from the full range of courses available across the specialisations.
    At the heart of the programme is the dissertation, which enables you to research a topic of your interest, under the guidance of AUT’s globally renowned sport and recreation staff. The programme is flexible, and is offered as a mix of online and on-campus block courses.
